Aberdeen-based subsea inspections firm Rosenxt has broadened its service portfolio to include integrated underwater inspection and integrity assessment. The new offering combines remote-controlled and autonomous underwater inspection with data interpretation, marking a significant expansion of the company’s operational capabilities in the energy sector.

Rosenxt was founded in 2023 as a spin-off from the Switzerland-based ROSEN Group and established its presence in Aberdeen in 2024. Initially focused on structural integrity management for offshore structures, the company acquired assets and talent from Beam in 2025 following the latter’s collapse. This acquisition expanded Rosenxt’s UK operational footprint to include Bristol and enhanced its subsea capabilities. The firm has also made strategic technology acquisitions, including K.U.M. and Zupt, to support its broader subsea strategy.

The company employs approximately 40 people across its Aberdeen and Bristol offices. It develops autonomous underwater vehicles in-house through its maritime robotics activities and collaborates with vessel and ROV partners as required. Rosenxt views the UK North Sea as a key market, which drives its continued presence in Aberdeen. While each work scope is largely bespoke, the new services are designed to assess subsea structures, pipelines, cables and their surrounding environments. The objective is to provide accurate and repeatable information that can be compared over time to identify changes in asset condition, scour, free spans, debris and other hazards requiring further assessment.
