The discovery comes ahead of drilling operations scheduled to commence in early August.\n\nThe company’s induced polarisation survey has identified several high-priority chargeability and resistivity anomalies, in addition to areas of structural complexity that could potentially serve as mineral trap sites. The inferred contact between the D’Kar and Ngwako Pan formations now extends more than four times the length initially anticipated by the exploration company.\n\nChief executive Remy Welschinger highlighted the proximity of the structure to MMG’s Mawana Fold and Zone 9 discoveries within the Khoemacau mining project, noting that the contact lies within metres of these significant findings.\n\nArc Minerals has emphasised that the survey findings currently represent qualitative exploration targets requiring geological validation through drilling programmes. The company is in the final stages of selecting a drilling contractor to undertake this work.\n\nWelschinger is scheduled to deliver an update on the Virgo project through Investor Meet Company on 30 July at 4.30pm BST, providing shareholders with further details on the exploration progress.\n\nThe expansion of the geological contact represents a substantial increase in the prospective exploration area for Arc Minerals, though investors should note that further drilling will be required to confirm the presence and economic viability of copper mineralisation within the identified target zones."}
