BAE Systems has announced record full-year sales and profits for 2025, highlighting the company’s strong performance amid heightened military tensions worldwide. The leading British defence contractor reported a significant 10 per cent increase in revenues, reaching £30.6 billion, while underlying earnings before interest and tax rose by 12 per cent to £3.32 billion.

As the demand for defence services continues to grow, BAE has seen its shares rise dramatically, positioning the company to benefit from ongoing military conflicts and increased government spending on security. Shares in BAE reached new heights, climbing to £21.11, reflecting a capital growth of 250 per cent since early 2022.

The company is well placed to deliver further growth, backed by a robust backlog of work valued at £83.6 billion, which is £5.8 billion higher than the previous year. Consequently, BAE has increased its dividend by 10 per cent, distributing 36.3p per share. This reflects the commitment to returning value to shareholders, with over £1.5 billion returned through dividends and share buybacks.

Key contracts and orders are driving BAE’s positive outlook. Recently secured contracts include a £4.6 billion order for 20 Typhoon fighters for Turkey and a £10 billion deal to supply Type 26 frigates to Norway. The laying of the keel for the first Dreadnought nuclear submarines also demonstrates BAE’s capacity for future growth.

With nearly half of its business coming from the United States and a substantial portion from the UK, BAE is strategically positioned for a decade of sustained growth in defence spending. The company’s recent performance underscores its ability to adapt to changing geopolitical landscapes and demand for advanced military technology.

As the global defence landscape evolves, BAE Systems continues to be a key player, prepared to meet the demands of modern warfare with innovative solutions and a strong operational foundation.
