DRDGOLD declares its 15th consecutive annual dividend as production comes in at top end of guidance

DRDGOLD Ltd (NYSE:DRD, JSE:DRD, OTC:DRDGF) CEO Niël Pretorius says the company achieved production towards the higher end of its guidance in its 2022 financial year, despite a number of challenges over the course of the year.

Speaking to Proactive, Pretorius said DRDGOLD reached its 15th consecutive year of dividend payments, with a final payout of 40 South African cents, taking its total dividend for the year to June 30, 2022, to 60c.

Pretorius attributed the performance to the company’s investment in developing a system to increase business resilience and robustness.

In terms of guidance for full-year 2023, DRDGOLD expects production to be lower, due to weakened expected yield, at between 160, 000 and 180,000 ounces (oz). Cash operating costs are expected to be around R685 000 per kg. Long-term and sustaining capital investment of around R1,400 million is planned.
