The firm’s unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026 show total income of £1.5 million, a figure that matches the performance recorded during the same period in 2025. This stability in top-line earnings was achieved despite lower production levels and a slightly weaker US dollar, factors that were counterbalanced by a significantly higher average oil price of US$91.\n\nProfitability metrics showed modest improvement year on year. Gross profit increased to £300,000 from £200,000 in the corresponding period of 2025. Concurrently, the company’s pre-tax loss narrowed to £800,000, down from £900,000 in the first half of the previous year. In the United Kingdom, the company maintained an average net production of 90 barrels per day of oil from its onshore fields. The Wressle development was the primary driver of this output, contributing approximately 85 per cent of the total volume.\n\nChief Executive Will Holland stated that the second half of 2026 is set to be a pivotal period for the business. He highlighted upcoming activity in Equatorial Guinea as likely to have a transformational effect on the company. In North Yorkshire, Europa has faced setbacks at the Cloughton development after the local council refused planning permission for an appraisal well. However, the Environment Agency currently has a public consultation open regarding a draft decision to grant an environmental permit for a temporary exploration wellsite. Holland confirmed that the company is considering various development options, including an appeal against the planning refusal, while continuing to progress the separate environmental permitting process and seeking a farm-in partner to fund the appraisal well."}
