Former MPC member Sentance says Bank of England is out of firepower

Andrew Sentance, senior adviser to Cambridge Econometrics and former monetary policy committee member says it is a misunderstanding to think the UK economy is faring worse than its G7 counterparts and it is just a matter of how the statistics are calculated. Meanwhile in response to the Bank of England’s governor Andrew Bailey saying the central bank is ‘not out of firepower’, Sentance responds by saying he thinks they in fact are.
