In the latest London South East interview we are joined by Werner Klingenberg, CEO of Goldplat Plc, the South-African based gold mining recovery group. Werner explains how the group has successfully refocused attention on gold recovery operations in South Africa and Ghana and returned to profitability.
He confirms the Head of Terms which has been signed for the sale of Kilimenpesa gold mine in Kenya, the gold mine which has proved too big for Goldpalt to finance without a farm-in partner.
He says to expect newsflow on the disposal shortly.
And he also talks about diversifying into recovering other types of metal such as platinum or PSG recovery, which has very different economics to gold but might nevertheless prove attractive.
