GinsGlobal’s Anthony Ginsberg discusses key takeaways from the July 2022 Tech Megatrends Market Report. Ginsberg noted that second-quarter earnings from big tech companies have been “less disappointing” than many had predicted, resulting in a tech rally over the past week.
“The revenue numbers have held up pretty well,” Ginsberg said. “Inflation has hurt some of the profitability numbers across Microsoft and Amazon and Apple as well.
But what’s actually come through fairly strongly is that cloud computing as a particular sub-theme has really boosted both Google and Amazon’s numbers.” Top sub-theme contributors to the HAN-GINS Tech Megatrends UCITS ETF in July represented Genomics, Cloud and Cybersecurity.
