# Kuniko finishes phase two drilling at Commonwealth-Silica Hill

Kuniko has concluded its phase two diamond drilling programme at the Silica Hill prospect, which forms part of the Commonwealth Project in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales, Australia. The initiative comprised five diamond drill-holes with a combined length of 1,492 metres. The primary objective was to expand geological understanding of the Silica Hill mineralised system by testing the interpreted Northern and Southern Lodes. The drilling campaign examined these mineralised trends laterally and at depth, penetrating significantly deeper into the system than much of the historical drilling conducted at the site.

Since acquiring its interest in the Commonwealth Project in October 2025, Kuniko has completed a total of 11 diamond drill-holes, accumulating 2,731 metres of drilling. The company intends to use the additional data to refine its geological interpretation and support a planned update to the mineral resource estimate for the area. Kuniko has stated that this updated estimate is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. Processing and sampling of the drill core from the recently finished phase two programme is nearing completion, with assay results expected to be released in October 2026. These results will be integrated into updated resource modelling for the Commonwealth-Silica Hill system.

Selected holes from the phase two programme have been prepared for downhole electromagnetic surveying. This follow-up work aims to identify conductive responses that may indicate further sulphide mineralisation beyond the currently defined system. The company noted that previous surveys at Silica Hill had highlighted connections between the mineralised system and specific geophysical features. Maja McGuire, managing director of Kuniko, described the completion of phase two as an important milestone. She stated that the programme has significantly advanced the understanding of the mineralised system, with assays and planned surveys set to provide further insight into potential extensions.

In parallel with these resource-focused activities, Kuniko continues to progress exploration of regional targets across the broader Commonwealth-Silica Hill district. The company is prioritising additional drill targets for future testing, a process informed by geological mapping, geochemical analysis and geophysical surveys. This broader regional work is proceeding concurrently with the current activities at Silica Hill.
