# B2Gold targets 300,000-ounce output at Goose mine

B2Gold intends to transform its Goose mine in Nunavut into a gold producer with an annual capacity of 300,000 ounces. President and chief executive officer Mike Cinnamond stated that this expansion will be achieved once upgrades to the crushing circuit are completed. The company is currently working to expand an undersized crushing system to meet this production target.

The Vancouver-based miner is listed on the TSX under the ticker BTO and on the NYSE American under the ticker BTG. The stated objective is to move beyond recent operational setbacks at the Goose site. The focus of the strategy is on increasing cash generation through the physical expansion of the mine’s processing capabilities.

The proposed changes are designed to address the current limitations of the crushing infrastructure. By completing these upgrades, B2Gold aims to stabilise and increase its output levels. The company’s leadership has indicated that this capacity increase is a central component of its broader operational plans for the Nunavut asset.
