MP Evans profits surge as global palm oil prices continue to rise

MP Evans Group PLC’s (LON:MPE) CEO Matthew Coulson joins Proactive London to talk about its performance in the first six months of 2022 – with profits up 53%.

As a consequence, the firm raised its dividend by 25% – as the price of mill-gate crude palm oil rose to an average of US$1,305 per tonne from US$724 a year earlier.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused oil commodities to soar exacerbated by a short-term ban on exports in Indonesia, which has since been lifted.

Operating cash inflow in the first half more than doubled to US$69.7mln (2021: US$33mln).
