The agreement covers the commissioning of the offshore converter station as well as turbine installation and commissioning works. Under the terms of the deal, OEG will provide power onboard a jack-up vessel using five 200kVA and two 300kVA generators running in synchronisation.\n\nThe converter station was installed in April this year, ahead of schedule. OEG technical manager for temporary power Rob Williams stated that the company has worked closely with the Ørsted construction management team over recent months to ensure the provision of correct bespoke technical solutions for the project. Alida Lewis, head of temporary power at OEG, added that the deal expands the company’s support to include the offshore converter station in addition to the wind turbine generator package.\n\nThe new contract follows OEG’s highest-ever quarterly cash flow of 39 million dollars, achieved on the back of 188 million dollars of revenue in the second quarter of the year. The deal also builds on the existing relationship between the two firms, with OEG having previously supported the construction phases of both Hornsea 1 and Hornsea 2. At 2.9GW, Hornsea 3 is set to become the world’s single largest offshore wind farm upon completion. Construction is currently underway on the project, located around 160km off the Yorkshire coast, with the first monopile foundations arriving at Teesworks for marshalling."}
