The AIM-listed wellhead services business will receive an initial commitment payment of £1 million, with additional revenue of up to approximately £1.5 million anticipated over the programme duration.\n\nWork is scheduled to commence immediately at Plexus’ operational facility in Aberdeen, where the company’s engineers and technicians will execute the project. The agreement also includes provisions for potential scope expansion during the programme, which could generate further revenue streams.\n\nUnder the terms of the agreement, Plexus will undertake engineering, analysis and testing services for Cactus, leveraging its core expertise in wellhead engineering and offshore applications. The initial £1 million prepayment will be secured by a debenture over all company assets until the contracted work has been discharged, an outcome expected within the two-year timeframe.\n\nChief executive Craig Hendrie stated that the contract was awarded to Plexus as a result of the company’s reputation for technology excellence and successful product development and qualification testing over several decades. Hendrie emphasised that the opportunity to deploy Plexus’ existing engineering capability and testing infrastructure for an international client would enable the company to retain and build its capabilities in Aberdeen during a period when investment in the North Sea has faced considerable pressure.\n\nThe agreement represents a significant validation of Plexus’ technical capabilities within the offshore energy sector. The structure of the deal, with its secured prepayment and potential for expansion, provides revenue visibility whilst allowing the company to maintain its operational infrastructure and workforce in a challenging market environment."}
