# Quantinuum and Oracle Partner to Integrate Quantum Computing into Cloud Infrastructure

Quantinuum and Oracle have announced a multi-year strategic partnership designed to integrate quantum computing capabilities directly into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This collaboration aims to facilitate broader adoption of quantum technology by allowing OCI customers to access Quantinuum’s Helios commercial quantum computer through the cloud provider’s dedicated quantum service. The integration will operate alongside existing high-performance computing and GPU infrastructure, creating a unified environment for complex computational tasks.

The partnership seeks to explore how hybrid quantum-AI infrastructure can address computationally intensive challenges faced by enterprises, while also expanding access for universities and research institutions involved in scientific discovery and education. Both companies assert that the future of enterprise computing relies on the convergence of artificial intelligence, classical supercomputing, and quantum processing. They argue that many complex problems in sectors such as materials discovery, drug development, logistics, energy, and financial modelling are already pushing the limits of current computing architectures.

Rajeeb Hazra, president and chief executive officer of Quantinuum, stated that deploying Helios within OCI provides a unique opportunity to create a deeply integrated environment for hybrid workloads. He noted that this setup would allow the companies to explore enterprise use cases with customers and accelerate commercial adoption. This agreement follows a separate collaboration announced last month between Quantinuum, Rolls-Royce, Riverlane, and EPCC, the UK National Supercomputing Centre based at the University of Edinburgh. That group signed an agreement to investigate the quantum computing capabilities required for future industrial workflows, including gas turbine design.
