British drinks brand Trip has secured a significant investment of 40 million dollars in its latest fundraising round, attracting high-profile backers including Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio and American musician Joe Jonas. The company is now valued at over 300 million dollars as it accelerates its expansion in the United States market.
Founded in 2019 by former lawyer Olivia Ferdi and her husband Daniel Khoury, Trip began with a range of cannabidiol soft drinks. The company has since broadened its offering, with its Mindful Blend range—containing Lion’s Mane, magnesium, chamomile, and L-theanine—becoming its best-selling product line. Trip’s pastel cans and supplements are now available in 50000 shops across Britain, the United States, France, and the Netherlands.
Chief executive Olivia Ferdi, who remains a majority shareholder with her family, reported revenues of 27.8 million pounds for the year ending February 2025. The company forecasts revenues will rise to 76 million pounds by 2026, aided by expanded listings in large US retailers such as Target, Wholefoods, and Texas-based HEB. The business expects revenue to double again the following year as it concentrates on building its presence in America.
New York venture capital firm Coefficient Capital, also an investor in Magic Spoon, led the recent fundraising round. Trip previously sold a stake valued at 5.6 million pounds to new investors including the venture fund Equity Studio in January, after previously raising 10 million pounds from private investors in 2022. Rosie HuntingtonWhiteley is a partner at Equity Studio, while Ashley Graham continues as one of Trip’s celebrity investors.
Ferdi noted that taste and branding have overtaken ingredients such as CBD in driving consumer choices. The company’s CBD range, now only available in the United Kingdom, represents 30 percent of current revenues and is expected to decline to 15 percent next year.
Trip now produces its drinks in Hereford and California and is searching for a new production partner on the east coast of the United States to further expand capacity. The company recently launched its Wild Strawberry drink in the United Kingdom as part of supermarket meal deals and entered a partnership with the meditation app Calm.
