US Companies Plan to Inject Billions into Northern Ireland after Brexit Deal

If the “Windsor” deal on post-Brexit trade arrangements results in political stability, US companies are ready to invest billions of US dollars in Northern Ireland.

People who have knowledge of the plans describe the investment as ready to go after months of negotiations led by Chris Heaton Harris, UK Northern Ireland Secretary. Officials in the US and the UK said that money will likely start flowing only once the political crisis has been resolved. This could require the DUP to support the Windsor deal and, ultimately, end the political impasse at Stormont, Northern Ireland’s legislative assembly.
