Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s co-founder, also faces potential removal alongside Musk’s demand to strip him of equity believed to be worth over $1 billion. Brockman’s private journal entries have come into play within the trial, suggesting tensions regarding the company’s direction during Musk’s departure.

Musk’s lawsuit seeks to revert OpenAI to its previous non-profit structure, which would benefit his own AI venture, xAI. OpenAI has labelled Musk’s legal actions a campaign driven by personal motivations and jealousy.
