Shares in MedPal AI plc advanced 12% to 3.5 pence following the digital health firm’s announcement of its newly launched integrated health platform. The company characterises the system as the first closed-loop digital health operating system available in the United Kingdom, combining wearable data collection, artificial intelligence triage capabilities, clinician-led prescribing functions and robotic dispensing technology within a unified framework.

The MedPal Health OS consolidates real-time physiological information from more than 100 wearable devices and health applications, incorporating data streams from Apple Health, Whoop and Garmin among others. This aggregated data feeds into a clinician-trained artificial intelligence system that produces personalised health assessments and identifies cases requiring potential clinical intervention.

When clinical action becomes necessary, the platform facilitates AI-assisted diagnosis and prescription processes. Medication fulfilment operates through robotic dispensing infrastructure with capacity to process in excess of 200 items per hour, achieving an accuracy rate of 99.99% according to company specifications.

The system maintains continuous monitoring by tracking physiological changes subsequent to medication delivery, channelling this information back into the wearable data layer to progressively refine individual patient profiles. This feedback mechanism forms the closed-loop element central to the platform’s design.

MedPal has secured an existing partnership arrangement with Epassi, providing zero-cost access to a potential user base exceeding 11 million employees. The company has outlined expansion intentions through business-to-business licensing agreements targeting healthcare providers and insurance firms.

The share price movement reflects immediate market response to the platform launch, though investors should note the inherent volatility characteristic of AIM-listed digital health ventures at early commercial stages.
