Red Rock Resources confirms that Bilbale samples have gold mineralization

Red Rock Resources PLC, AIM:RRR, has released results from a second set of samples from the 2022 reverse circulation drilling (RC) at Bilbale in Burkina Faso.

In a statement, the small-cap exploration firm informed investors that it had received results from Faso Greenstone Resources (FGR), which was based at an artisanal mine site. The samples included 380 samples.

The company confirmed that the gold grades were present in the sample and said it would now conduct ground geophysics, which will be followed by more drilling.

Red Rock chair Andrew Bell stated in a statement that the initial scout drilling program of seven holes in two locations in the very promising Bilbale license produced, in Phase I at the Djikologo Target, gold intersections at three of the four holes, including three high-grade intersections at the BilR2203 drillhole, which included 20m at 3.19g/t from 22m depth.

“The second phase intersected the gold mineralization in two of three holes at Bilbale’s artisanal area. However, it was at lower tenors. We emphasize in the early stages of drilling that we drill at this point for structure, not grade. Any intersections above 1 g/t indicate we are in mineralisation, which is why we are positive.

“The results from the two prospects were obtained using a small programme, which was accelerated to meet spend commitments for an acquired license. They had not been preceded with any detailed geochemical or geophysical preparation. Bell said that the next stage would be ground geophysics to prepare for further drilling.”

Today’s results showed grades up to 0.77 grams per ton (g/t), gold over 11 meters, starting at 69 metres deep, and one metre with 2.86g/t gold starting at 70 metres.
