
Jensen Huang, the chief executive of Nvidia, has argued that the artificial intelligence sector does not require new legislation or government regulations to manage safety risks. Speaking at a conference in San Francisco, Huang contended that the decision to release new versions of AI technology should remain in the hands of company leaders. Chris Lehane, an OpenAI executive, confirmed that the company is collaborating with other AI labs, including Anthropic and Google DeepMind, to advance frontier AI standards. Lehane emphasised that with such high stakes, the industry must not let the perfect become the enemy of the good.
