The funding activity was distributed across nine distinct rounds, with capital flowing to companies operating in artificial intelligence, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing. This decline marks a significant shift in the pace of venture capital deployment for the period.
Callosum, an artificial intelligence firm established in 2026, secured investment from Atomico, Plural, DCVC, the UK Sovereign AI Fund, and angel investors. The company develops heterogeneous computing systems software that aligns specific AI tasks with the most cost-effective and computationally efficient models and silicon hardware. In the aviation sector, Ampaire raised funds from IAGi Ventures, Alaska Airlines, and DiamondStream Partners. Founded in 2017, the firm creates hybrid-electric retrofit propulsion systems and auxiliary power units for commercial aircraft to reduce emissions, fuel consumption, and operating costs.
Several other notable deals were completed during the week. Medly AI, founded in 2025, received backing from Felix Capital, Eka Ventures, Ada Ventures, and angels to build an automated, personalised AI tutoring platform for GCSE and school exams. Oshen, established in 2022, attracted investment from Lunar Ventures, AlbionVC, Twin Track, Concept Ventures, and angels for its fleet of autonomous, wind and solar-powered ocean-sensing robotic vessels. Noggin HQ, a credit reference agency founded in 2021, secured funding from Blackfinch Ventures, Oxford Capital, Bethnal Green Ventures, and angels to provide cashflow-based credit scoring using permissioned open-banking data.
Further investment was directed towards Singular Photonics, which develops single-photon avalanche diode image sensors for machine vision and medical imaging. The company, founded in 2021, raised capital from ACF Investors, Wren Capital, Cambridge Angels, Scottish Enterprise, Quantum Exponential, and Old College Capital. Versatile RobotX, established in 2023, received support from the British Design Fund, Innovate UK, and the Defra Farming Innovation Programme to manufacture autonomous crop handling robots. HexSeed Technology, founded in 2025, secured investment from Carbon13, the Net Zero Technology Centre, and Vento to transform captured carbon dioxide into synthetic diamond coatings for semiconductor cooling. Finally, EcoNomad Solutions, founded in 2018, raised funds from the British Design Fund, Innovate UK, and the Beeches Group to produce modular anaerobic digestion systems for small-scale livestock farms.
